R.I.P. Hugh McIntyre

It is with great sadness that we must report the tragic passing of Hugh McIntyre, workhorse communications director of The Hanso Foundation, as well as Darla Taft, corporate liaison for the Global Welfare Consortium. The two were killed when McIntyre lost control of the vehicle he was driving, somewhere in Paris.

McIntyre tirelessly touted the many scientific and social achievements of the Foundation, and had been instrumental in countering many of the recent slanders against his organization.

With the recent public service announcement by Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk which aired on national television in the United States this week, it seems as if the Foundation has decided to fully engage its critics in a spirited debate. That unfortunately-necessary work has been made all the more difficult with the passage of Hugh McIntyre.

Update: The critics of the Foundation have sunk to a new low. One of them just tried to post a comment here, linking to some material from the criminal hacker and amateur videographer whom they all idolize, using the name Hugh McIntyre. Is this how you try to gain support? By viciously making use of the name of the recently departed? Shameful. Just shameful.
